I'm a 30-something first-time mom to a wonderful little boy. When I have time to squeeze it in (usually during naps), I love to craft: knitting, spinning yarn, and sewing. Sometimes I craft for myself, my family, or friends. Other times I craft items to sell in my etsy shop or at local small businesses. But I always craft because I get great enjoyment at watching the items as they take shape in my hands.
Before I became a mom, I finished my PhD in medieval literature. I enjoy teaching and doing research, but right now I have the luxury of staying home with my son, so I am taking some time off from my career.
